Update v1.0.31 and v1.0.4

U

We have been working around the clock the past few days in order to get the next update ready to ship. We know many of you are anxiously waiting for v1.0.4 in order to start using PayPal, play with the new image library and access a number of other improvements and bug fixes.

Version 1.0.31 update

In order to prepare for the big v1.0.4 update, we have had to release a smaller update first, which we did last night. Update v1.0.31 is available via auto update and from the support portal forums. This update will be not be distributed via Gumroad.

This update makes some changes to our auto update system to allow it to properly process the larger v1.0.4 update. Those of you who do manual updates, you won’t need to worry about this v1.0.31 update (we will provide the needed instructions with the v1.0.4 release). Those of you who are depending on the auto update system, you will need to make sure you update to v1.0.31 over the next few days. If you don’t have the v1.0.31 update installed, the v1.0.4 update can not be applied to your copy of the SB Pro / Pagestead!

Technical details

For those of you interested in the technical details behind the v1.0.31 update and it’s relation to the v1.0.4 update: with the v1.0.4 update, certain changes will need to be made to the MySQL database powering the application. Some of the new features in this update require that certain tables and/or columns get added to the database. Rather then asking customers to manually make these changes, we will be using something called “migrations” to manage changes to the database in a structured and automated manner. Using migrations however, means we need to modify the code that runs the automated updates. Unfortunately, this change needs to be made before we can run the update including the database changes.

Version 1.0.4 update

We are planning to release v1.0.4 next week Wednesday; so you’ll want to make sure you have v1.0.31 installed before then. If you’re running into issues when trying to update to v1.0.31, please reach out to us and we’ll make sure it gets installed properly.
