3 Ways to make your digital agency stand out from your competitors

To suggest that it’s very important for web design and web development agencies to stand out from their competitors is an understatement to say the least. If you’re not constantly attracting and converting new clients then your business is pretty much doomed to fail.

But how are you meant to attract those valuable clients when there are so many other agencies out there offering the same products? Here we are going to take a look at three tips you can follow to ensure that your agency and your product will stand out from your competitors.

Find a niche

While it might seem obvious you would be surprised how many agencies seem identical when you view the generic ‘about us’ section of their websites. For your agency and your product to really stand out it is essential not to focus on the common services that you offer, but the things that make your company or your product unique, the things that potential clients will really struggle to find elsewhere. This could be anything from offering a one-of-a-kind website design, to taking the time to really getting to know the client and the client’s needs, before utilizing that knowledge to create a truly unique website that satisfies their desires and adheres to their company ethos.

It is important not to worry about your niche being similar to that of other agencies as focusing on a different industry, a different sized organization or a different location, can be all that is required for you to stand out from the rest.

Create a unique and engaging pitch

Your sales pitch will often be a potential client’s first impression of your company, so it is crucially important that you focus on making it something that stands out from the crowd. A good way of doing this is to check out your competitor’s pitches beforehand as this will give you a better idea of what is expected and what is not.

The most crucial aspect of an effective sales pitch is to work out what it is exactly that your customers need, and then to successfully and concisely incorporate a solution to that into your pitch. The pitch is what you use to attract people to your brand. As such, rather than a one-size-fits-all, rigid pitch, it should be tweaked a little bit for each new client to make sure they know you are the agency that best suits their needs.

Be credible

It is important for potential clients to know that you can deliver what you offer, and that you truly are an expert in your field. Some clients may want to know of your industry experience or qualifications, details of who your existing clients are, and whether you have worked with agencies similar to them in the past. The best way to demonstrate your credibility is with honest data. Data that shows both successes and failures, transparency is key to winning the trust of any potential clients.

It is important to make sure that you do not get bogged down in numbers though, and make sure that any data you present is relevant. It is essential to present data as a demonstration of your credibility and to prove that you are aware of the requirements of any potential clients.
